The Bronze Horseman

A poem by Aleksandr Pushkin, 1833

I created a poster with a poem by a classic of literature, telling the story of the flood in St. Petersburg and its founder, Peter the Great. The design of the text is in the form of a stone, the base of a monument. The text itself and the monument are painted in bright gold hues, and the background color and shapes are reminiscent of the flow of the river and waves. The Neva River has already been out of its banks many times, the dark blue color shows its danger, the neighborhood with the Gulf of Finland has repeatedly threatened St. Petersburg.
