Week 8 Reflections

Introduction:

I created 2 patterns in different styles and with different goals, even the colors in them differ dramatically. I am not a supporter of a large number of patterns, I prefer to do everything with my hands depending on the product, but I myself understand that with a large number of products, such an approach is impossible.

#1 - AMR Desert Camo

The first uses a Monochromatic scheme, the colors are selected by analogy with the racing team of the British car manufacturer Aston Martin. The idea came to me for a very simple reason, lime green is my favorite color, and Aston Martin is the team I support. Classic "British Racing Green" on the background and bright lime green triangles form a very bright camouflage similar to classic examples of desert camouflage. This is a very popular technique at the moment, the use of camouflage in the creation of many things: clothes, smartphone cases and much more. My idea is to use it on the team's branded merchandise, you can print sponsors in rectangles on top of it, and so a jersey or jacket with the team's symbols and style can come out.

#2 - Marka Pattern

The second pattern uses the Analogous scheme. The pattern is based on my logo and style for a Hand-made goods store. The colors are chosen in the style of the logo, purple and its darker version, as well as basic white and black. The pattern itself uses a square grid to imitate the main theme of the logo and identity - the grid is like on drawing paper, this connects the goods and the fact that they are made by hand. The colors form a very soft and pleasant visual, in the original style there is no black and more white and rounded shapes, but black came in handy here. I would use this pattern in the packaging of goods, this is wrapping paper, and the boxes themselves, it can also be the design of price tags in the store, as well as the exterior design of cars and delivery trucks.

Conclusion:

In creating these patterns, I had to deal with Adobe Colors, I knew and used this site a couple of times, but I prefer coolors.co , this is also a site with a palette selection for your work with all sorts of filters for the palette, but it chooses completely random colors, it helps a lot in many cases, it helps to stop using in works with old colors stuck in your head or with the help of new shades to look at the work from a completely different side.
